AI Cameras to Catch Texting Drivers in Australia

Australian authorities have announced that they will be using AI-driven cameras to catch people in the act of using their phones while driving a world first. During a trial in the first half of 2019, the monitors  successfully detected 100,000 drivers using a device illegally. Now, drivers are beginning to receive warning letters. After the initial three-month warning period, drivers caught by the cameras will receive penalty points and a $300 fine. Learn all the details here
