3. Ottawa (not Kitchener-Waterloo) is Canada's most technology intensive city with 8% of the city's employees working in high-tech firms.
4. Elon Musk, one of the world's most famous tech innovators and the mind behind PayPal, SpaceX and Tesla, is a Canadian citizen and attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
5. Uber recently hired Raquel Urtasun, a University of Toronto professor and the Canada Research Chair in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, to lead a new ATG self-driving unit in Toronto, further validating Toronto as a global leader in AI.
